I'm a bit new to Ubuntu but i'm pretty good a figuring things out and following directions.
I have an Acer aspire one netbook with Xubuntu and I ran into trouble when I tried setting up dual monitors. I went googling and found a fix listed below.
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:xubuntu-dev/xfce-4.12
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
After setting this up, my desktop went black as well as my icons and my quick launcher.
As I move my mouse over these different items I can still click on them, I just can't see them.
I checked my desktop setting in my desktop manager and they all seem to be in order so something else must be blocking those settings or overriding them.
Can somebody help me figure out what's wrong?
Thanks
