Well I've spent the past 5 hours or so trying to get past this issue - I feel like my eyes are going to fall out! The error is "Busybox v1.18.5.... (initramfs) Unable to find a medium containing a life file system"
I've read up on a whole bunch on people who have experienced this problem, but have not personally found a fix that works for me.
So far I am tried three different ISO images (Xubuntu 12.10, 13.10 and Ubuntu 12.04), installed on two different flash drives (Sandisk 8GB and 32GB), with two different programs (LiLi USB Creator and Universal USB Installer).
I have tried many combinations of both USB 2.0 and 3.0 ports on my Mobo. I've tried messing with the BIO settings, booting with both Legacy and UEIF. I've tried messing with all the SATA settings in the BIOS.
I'm at a loss of where to go next. My MOBO is the Gigabyyte 990FXA-UD5.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.
