If I add a new HDD to my system, can I use a type of format such as Butter FS, considering the other HDD is formated in ext4?

Thanx for ur advice. :KS

You can use whatever format you like. What is the purpose for this hard disk? Is it just for data? Is it to store music and movies? Is it for video or audio editing? How you use the drive will help guide you to the best format to use. Ext4 is optimized for multi-purpose use and is probably the best to use, but for certain workloads, you can get a performance boost (with lower reliability) using something else.
