If I boot from the Live USB and just select 'Try Ubuntu without Installing' it hangs on a black screen. However, if I go into edit options and type in 'only-ubiquity nomodeset' and remove 'quiet splash' and boot, it boots up, but the only thing that shows up is the Install Ubuntu box. I NEED unity though, because I need to make sure if Grub is fixed (with the boot repair tool, I can't update grub from the web because the wifi drivers don't work).
I've tried getting access to the terminal via ctrl alt f2 when I do the only-ubiquity thing, but I don't know how to access the boot repair parts.
Please help!
