I just did a fresh install with Lubuntu 13.10.
When I try to start Firefox, it screws up the display.
(Multiple diagonal lines running upper right to lower left)
So I installed Chromium, and have no problems at all.
Did not have problems running Synaptic either
So far only Firefox seems to redefine the display parameters
At present have not found a way to recover other than a hard boot.
Running an old Acer T180 (Sempron processor and NVDIA VGA output, on a 22" JVC LED TV that has a VGA input
Anyone else encounter this problem ?
