I have a multi-boot machine, one of the OS'es is Ubuntu 12.04， and I did a fresh install of Ubuntu 13.10 over it. Formatted / partition but not /home partition so that I can keep most of my personal things there.
I was not sure whether a new account with the same username would cause any data lose and so created the default user at installation with different username.
Everything is fine except now I'd like to have my two accounts merged and use my old username. What's the proper way of doing this? Thanks.
