Hello,

I've been using Ubuntu for 2 years now, I decided to format my computer and reinstall Ubuntu.

But now, I get this weird boot every time:

Thanks.

That goes by a little quick at the end.

What's weird?

Shouldn't it be a full screen boot? Instead of a squared screen with black corners/edges?

Not necessarily.

Do you have a proprietary graphics driver installed?

Sometimes the installation of a proprietary driver will cause that.

Unless it is really bothering you, I'd leave it be.

However, if you are interested I can see if I can hunt up one of the wiki entries on setting the resolution of GRUB and plymouth.
