Hello,
How can I add an alternate install function to a livecd? I don't want ro download an alternate install cd! Is there a possibility to do that? So there will be an option in grub to install in text mode or run the livecs more then memory test etc...

It is for an own ubuntu based remix.

Another question: How can I use ubiquity without installing the ubiquity-gtk-frontend?

Or are there other installers in text mode for ubuntu?

Thanks.

You can try the One Button Installer, 'OBI' (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=2172971) which uses tarballs with 'already installed systems'. Ubuntu based flavours re-spins and distros are portable between computers. It might be an easy way for you to make make a tarball of your system (using the OBI) and then install from that tarball into another computer (using the OBI). And yes, the OBI works in text mode.

Edit: another alternative is the Ubuntu mini.iso, which is also a text mode installer.

Thank you sudodus. My problem is to have an option to install in text mode, AND to try the Livecd (already created).

Well, there is always the boot option text, that you add where you would add any boot option
