Installin Ubuntu on a Acer aspire Z5710 desktop PC (touchscreen)

Hi, I tried to install the latest Ubuntu dist 13.10 and 12.04.3 both in the 64bit distr on my machine that has Win8.1 installed for dual boot. The problem is that the installation starts with an almost unreadable screen (i descibe it as coloured snow). The choices are hardly readable and i'm unsure if this could result in a incorrect installation. I have no idea if this is a known problem when installing it on these machines. I can not find any thread on this subject. Are there any tips on this problem?

Solved the problem with "Nomodeset", but still the resolution is bad. It is 1920x1080, but i can not set it up to this value, does anyone know how to solve this? I also have a problem with the dual boot installation, but that is an other problem.
