I installed ubuntu 13.10 to a desktop after an os x partition where I specifically asked to install grub at the partition with mount point /.

Then grub took over chameleon (mac boot loader) with boot options for os x (32 and 64bit), BUT none of them working.

So I re-activated the mac partition, did some miner fixes to make mac chameleon working again, although this make mac os bootable, ubuntu is not an option in the chameleon boot menu!

What happened here is not the case that I built multiboot Dell D630 windows+snow leopard+lion+ubuntu(12.10), where I installed grub in ubuntu / partition, chameleon automatically picked up linux boot item and all things working.

Any idea what's the difference between 12.10 and 13.10 bootloader? Why chameleon can find 12.10 but not 13.10 ubuntu?

I kind of doubt about the installed grub location. I hope its the partition with ubuntu mount point /, but how do I make sure that's the case?

Thansk for your help
