View Full Version : boot ubuntu on usb flash drive not going past load screen

Im trying to boot ubuntu on a usb bootable flash drive I used pendrivelinux to create the flash drive and it works on other laptops but wont get passed the loading screen on my toshiba satillte l650d I was going to try to change the boot mode (change Boot Mode in BIOS from UEFI to CSM) its not in my bios so i ubdated the bios from 1.6 to 1.8 hellp to get it ferther in the boot but not working. its not the flash drive I dont think as it works on other laptops and its not the boot order as thats correct and the boot is seen just dont boot ?? im working on a toshiba satellite l650d windows 7 64bit triple core amd processor any help would be class thank you

I've experienced this in the past. I would try a different flash drive.

There is mysterious voodoo with USB drives wherein some drives experience read/write errors with some computers and not others.
