Acer Aspire 5000 can not install 12.04

AMD Turion processor.

It tries to get someplace. Hangs on the wireless. Once it passes the that it does not even get to the first install screen. It loads the background and the cursor then flashes off and loads the background and cursor again in an endless cycle.

So what am I missing?

Sorry just as an add on

It has 1 G or memory. Fails on the SiS wireless and will not even get to the screen for Try or Install Ubuntu

When you say 12.04, do you mean Ubuntu 12.04? I would recommend Xubuntu for this one.

Best is to install and apply all updates using wired internet access. When that works we can take a look at the other problems.
