View Full Version : [ubuntu] Gedit and rabbitvcs-gedit integration fails

I have installed both from the Ubuntu repositories in a freshly installed Ubuntu 13.10 and whenever I try to activate the plugin I get this message (in the console):


(gedit:6476): libpeas-WARNING **: Could not find loader 'python' for plugin 'rabbitvcs-plugin'

What do I need to do in order to make it work? Any help is appreciated, thanks!

I don't know what you can do :(

I had the same problem for two plugins, one for markdown preview, the other called "Doublesave". Fortunately, Geany has both.

In one case, a person contacted the plugin dev and got the dev to fix the plugin to work with Python 3 (IIRC).

In another case, someone edited a .py file and got things going.

In yet another case, a person used a ppa to use an older plugin.

Nothing works... I will use Geany I guess...
