OK, I hadn't intended to upgrade from 13.04 without doing a clean install but my wife clicked on the upgrade prompt in her user account. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to stop the process before it completed. To my surprise, when the machine rebooted I was able to login to my user space with no problems. However, when she tried to login in to her user account this morning, there is absolutely no menu bar up top, no tray on the left. Right click and get at the desktop right click menu. I can use the keyboard to open settings, terminal, etc. But otherwise kind of unusable. Can someone help get her menu bar and tray back?
