Lubuntu DE in Ubuntu Pangolin

Currently I'm using Pangolin ... and i wish to give a Lubuntu DE a try ... is it possible?
I installed Lubuntu DE previously (about a year ago) ... but since at that time, I don't like it, so I remove it.
But it makes my Pangolin back to fresh installation ... al my app is gone.
So, right now I just want to GIVE IT A TRY or just see other operate it ... only
Would you mind to guide me ... please ...

I think the safest way to try Lubuntu is to try it without installing. You can do that from a boot CD/DVD/USB drive made from a Lubuntu desktop iso file.

Lubuntu 12.04 Precise Pangolin had no long time support, so I would not recommend trying to install that desktop environment into Ubuntu 12.04 Precise Pangolin, which has long time support, LTS. (Lubuntu 12.04 passed end of life last month.) Try the current version instead, Lubuntu 13.10!
