View Full Version : [SOLVED] Ubuntu 12.04 won't boot without USB stick

Hi,

I've just reverted back to Ubuntu 12.04LTS after finding 13.10 unusable (upgraded from 13.04 which also gave me issues, decided to drop all the way back to the last edition that gave me no hassles). Anyhow, I've found Ubuntu won't boot up unless the start-up USB I used to install 12.04 is plugged into the side (in which case it boots up fine). Without it however, it just hangs on a clear purple screen before it gets to the Ubuntu logo.

I'm not so tech savvy but I appreciate all help in advance.

Thanks.
