Need help intstalling Ubuntu 13.10 on Windows 8.1

I have a Gateway DX4380G-UW308, Windows 8.1, Has anyone had experience installing Ubuntu 13.10 Gnome AMD64 on this machine? If so please let me know how you accomplished the install. Thank You in advance for your consideration.
