Known good DVD used. If I run Ubuntu w/o installing, it loads console only. Definitely desktop ISO, not server. After install, same result - unity doesn't load. If I boot off of same CD on my desktop machine, desktop loads just fine. Tried manually removing/reinstalling unity to no avail. Also tried alternative install ISO with same result.
Tried Windows install as well and got a mbr error when booting.
Could there be a BIOS setting I'm overlooking? Or is Ubuntu just not compatible with the Lenovo g505?
