After messing up the upgrade from 13.04 to 13.10, I did a a new install of 13.10. Previously I had copied my home directory to a secondary disk drive. After the install I copied the home directory back to the proper location on the primary drive. While I can see files in the home directory with the Files application, the home directory appears empty to other applications. How can I bring these home directory files back?
