hi all,

i have worked a bit on linux red hat...doing some bit of sw installation and deglopement,few yrs ago

now i want to have a personal dedicated ubuntu server .

i have want to buy a laptop ( say 8gb ram and 1tb hd.)


please could someone who has done a recent ubuntu server installation on latest market available laptop to suggest me which
laptop and what configuration should i buy from amazon?


i would be dedicating this laptop for ubuntu,but now a days we get windows8 laptop, i will over write or give minimum space for win8.

i would like to host a website for fun...and do some web site developement and database developement for fun ...

pls suggest.

Even though it's not expensive (in the laptop world) it's a lot of computer to set aside for a web server.

There are so many different configurations it would be hard to spec one that fit you. If cost is an issue check ebay for one that is close to what you need, then check the same computer *new* on retail sites like Amazon & Newegg.
