how to install multiple iso's on the live dvd?

How can I install multiple versions of the install iso on the same DVD?

In the old days, we simply used a cd and one version of xubuntu would fit on one cd. But, now we must use a DVD, so I want to be able to store multiple 'buntu versions on the same DVD rather than wasting a whole dvd for a single version.

How do I do it????

There are several tools and methods to do that with USB (pen)drives, but much less common with multiboot for DVD. I have not come across it (but I guess it is possible and has been done). Would it be OK for you to use a USB multiboot device?

I think last time I posted this the user had issues getting it to work. I also suggest using a flash drive. I find then as the ISOs change it is easy to just copy in the new one.

I can handle a usb memory module to hold the image files. But, can a dvd-rw have a single image file burned onto it? That way, I could store the image files on a dvd-r, then burn the image onto the dvd-rw as needed.

I'm not sure whether burner software will properly burn an image file onto a dvd-rw though.

I read a thread about using dvd-rw at the Ubuntu Forums some time ago. It was described, that it can work like a USB drive (and as far as I understand also be used as a USB boot drive). I'm not very good at [re]finding old threads, but if I find it, I will post a link here.
