No graphics after upgrade to 13.10

Nothing. Not even BIOs or boot screen. I suspect a fresh install is in my future, which I'll just have to live with. Maybe I can save some files using the LiveCD, we'll see.

But not even getting the boot splash screen is a new one. What the hell is that? There appears to be no way to get a video signal from this machine. Any ideas?

I upgraded to 13.10 and the video is dark (no signal).

It is still an issue with the ubuntu pc. I have upgraded a pc and laptop to 13.10 lubuntu and they are working, though.
