I recently updated from 13.04 Ubuntu Gnome to 13.10 Ubuntu Gnome with a fresh install with a separate /home partition. I am on a Toshiba Satellite L645D-S4056.

When I login, and during the session, I am getting an error "gnome-settings daemon is crashed with SIGSEGV in ffi_call64()"

Also, the laptop will not hibernate when the lid is closed. Instead it suspends. I have enabled hibernation and running pm-hibernate or selecting hibernate from the menu hibernates fine. I have set the tweak tool to hibernate on lid closing and have set it in dconf as well. The power settings in the system setting however do not give me an option to hibernate on lid closing.

I am not sure what information is needed, so please feel free to let me know.

Thanks in advance.
