Fresh install of 13.10 release version amd64 onto an SSD with reformatting of the root partition. The installer seems to think I have secure UEFI boot enabled when I don't, and on the first boot after the install completes I get dumped to a grub rescue> prompt with the error message "error: file '/grub/i386-pc/normal.mod' not found". I had to boot up a live session off the install DVD, mount my root partition, and run grub-install against the root partition disk, after which the machine booted correctly.
