What I want: I would like to boot from an encripted file container

What I tried: I searched the truecrypt site and nothing there to implement this feature :(

The following problems: truecrypt unfortunately requires the drive to be unencrypted before encryption , hence exist :( which is a difficult part but not impossible
but there is nothing over on the truecrypt site about making a boot cd or usb pen drive to access a file container and then boot from that drive

Reasons for this: I am not allowed to edit the partitions and recently tried to run ubuntu from usb pen drive - it is slower than expected and programs pause every few minutes for 10 seconds to reload from the pen the information needed
