uplc account's password

hello,
i am facing problem regarding installation of any new updates as the os requires to authenticate me
although i am using <snip> as my user account password
pls send me solution or password as soon as possible

I've never (that I remember) seen anyone post their password before... somehow, that doesn't seem wise.
What messages do you get when you attempt authentication?
