I'm trying to access a local printer on my home network. The printer is attached to my win 8 desktop. I have Ubuntu running on my Toshiba laptop. The printer is a Brother HL-2240. The problem is I just can't seem to install the HL-22240 driver that I've downloaded from Brother on my Ubuntu laptop. The printer program just won't recognize the HL-2240. I've tried about everything including SAM. The desktop and laptop both access the network using WIFI. I'm new to Ubuntu and need some helpful instructions on how to install the driver properly.
