Having all sorts of problems installing ubuntu mini

Never had any install problems before with standard varieties

Computer is a leagacy IBM Thinkpad without pae

At the moment to top up my problems Mirrors appear to be down

a very detailed description of the problem.


use non-pae kernel image. you can use torrent to download it.

Here's some information on the PAE (https://help.ubuntu.com/community/PAE) problem and workarounds. If it's too much hassle I recommend Bodhi Linux.
