I just installed 12.04.3 server with desktop GUI. Then installed the NTFS configuration tool with terminal.
First: I was reading somewhere that NTFS now come ''out of the box'' in 12.04 and there's no need to use NTFS config tool - is that correct? (I need full access to these drives - this is a file server... from Macs and Windows machines in the place.)
Second: assuming I need such a tool (as I used it under 10.04 until 2 days ago), I have a major issue: when trying to launch it from the Dash Home where I can see it, it peompts me to enter my administrative password...but does not recognize it and kick me out after 3 trials. I currently only have one single password on this system, so there's no other password it could confuse with.
Thanks,
B
EDIT / UPDATE: I also have same issue with Samba ! ... Now that I found way to install graphic interface on it too (Note: I have not used it yet either even in terminal mode)
