Hi guys.

So I just installed my XUbuntu 12.04 64-bit on my desktop, and after completing installation and installing the official ATi drivers I run the "install updates" for Ubuntu for package and security updates. After completing installation and rebooting I can't boot back into XUbuntu. It just freezes just before the login screen with the loading indicator frozen. I have tried to boot into recovery mode to fix broken packages, however that freezes as well.

I've tried to reformat and reinstall Ubuntu again, however the exact same thing happens.

Any ideas?

Thank you.

Reverting the install updates and ATi driver installation solved it.
