when I try to update ubuntu 12.04 via update manger I offered to install partial-upgrade so i tried to install via synaptic package manger but that doesn't help either so I trie it with aptitude and update ubuntu but when this two packages are still not updating.

Welcome. In a terminal, one after the other with return after each:

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade

That should do it. Let us know.

You omit two important pieces of information. What packages aren't upgrading? What error, if any, are you getting?

Extremely peculiar these:

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade

... didn't fix that issue. Could you run them again, one at a time and report ANY error message or a message of any kind. Both these commands should take you back to a prompt. Look for a message above the prompt if/when it does.

Could you also give the output of this command, please:

uname -r

I dont know how to post terminal output so I posted text files..

Try this:

sudo apt-get autoremove

Then the two commands again. Any difference? Have you manually installed any PPAs (third-party repos that didn't come default with the install)?

You can type

sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
in a terminal, but don't select y(yes).

Instead look for the line saying something about the following packages will be removed.

Post what they are.

Chances are the new packages will be replacing older packages, which normally simply overrides(writes) them.
But sometimes the newer package needs the older packages to be removed.

The dist-upgrade command is essentially the same output you would get if you ran a partial upgrade.

In fact you can select the partial upgrade option in the update manager, let it start and when it get to the screen with the entries for
Remove, Newly Install, Upgrade(they will each have dropdown arrows next to them, so you can expand the lists).
at the bottom of that window will have the install(OK) button and a cancel.
Selecting cancel will quit the upgrade process from actually ever starting.
