Greetings!

I downloaded the Ubuntu 13.04 ISO from the Ubuntu website and the USB tool thingy. I installed the ISO to the USB drive and it shows the Ubuntu icon (while I am still in Windows).

I rebooted my PC and searched for my USB drive in the "Hard Disk" section, but I didn't found it. It continues the process, but then it says: No DEFAULT or UI configuration or something like that.

There was one time when it actually showed up and made a red screen with a human and a keyboard icons in the bottom, but then it said:

"LZMA data corrupt" and
"Kernel Panic; syncing VFS; unable to mount root fs on unknown-block (0,0)".

I was using a 2.0 USB port and a 8GB drive. I also verified the ISO using the MD5 thing.

Any ideas?

That was 5 hours ago and you haven't gotten an answer yet. I'd reinstall. Have pen and paper handy. Watch for errot messages as you do it. Good luck.
