Hello

I have ubuntu 12.10 and I'm new on it. I want to install special software on it but before installation I should install other open sources software like VTK.

Something said about VTK installation in installation guide of my special software, like that:

"
VTK has to be installed from source ((release) package >= 5.10);
make sure you compile VTK with the following options set to ON:
VTK_USE_GUISUPPORT; VTK_USE_QT; VTK_USE_QTCHARTS; VTK_USE_RENDERING;

I can't understand the meaning of "

make sure you compile VTK with the following options set to ON:
VTK_USE_GUISUPPORT; VTK_USE_QT; VTK_USE_QTCHARTS; VTK_USE_RENDERING"
but I downloaded VTK5.10.1.TAR.GZ and unziped it then did cmake command in terminal then I try to do make command but I got this text:
make: *** No targets specified and no makefile found. Stop.

It is kind of you if you guide me please.
thanks alot
regards
maryam
