I made the mistake of letting someone else buy my PC for a birthday. I have seen many videos of how to install Ubuntu. I am using Ubuntu 12.04 LTS just as I want the continued support. I can boot from the USB as well as I can see the Ubuntu logo, but I get my screen covered in mulch-colored lines which flash every so often. It then gets to a state when it is trying to load the graphics but all that appears is white or black boxes that go where the GUI should. I can also move the mouse. Here is all the things that I have:

AMD FX-4170 Quad Processor
AMD Radeon HD 7750 GPU
16 GB DDR3 Ram
64-bit OS
BIOS version: 17.10
Motherboard: asus 760 GM P21
Ubuntu Version: ubuntu 12.04.3 desktop amd64
