View Full Version : [ubuntu] chrominum vs chrome?

HI guys; i have ubuntu 12.04lts and i switched firefox to chrominum now heard that i can use chrome instead will i get better off with chrome ,this is a link to compare,anybody here runs chrome in ubuntu?

They run about the same in my opinon. You could easily have both installed and run them side by side. Basically chrome is just a rebrand and tweak of the chromium project.

I personally use chromium on my Linux system but if I'm on a Windows or Mac I will use Chrome.

Chrome includes Pepper Flash and codec/s which Chromium doesn't . The settings are pretty much the same other wise and If you sign in to Google Services with either browser there are no real privacy advantages . Chrome tracks your ip and location when the browser is downloaded and Chromium comes from the repository with no ties to Google.
