I am using ubuntu 12.04 for a long time. Suddenly after some updates my PC automatically downloaded, the screen started flickering at startup.
I read sum threads in ubuntu forums and other sites but nothing really helped. But from gathering information from the above threads I tried booting in recovery mode, and then run dpkg. This thing solved the problem and booting was ok, but this is a temporarily solution becouse I have to do it at each boot, elese the screen is flickering. What does this dpkg do, and how can I do it permanently so my pc boot normally each time?
