Hi there,

I recently set up a dual boot of Ubuntu Gnome 13.04 x64 after not having used linux in a little while. All went smoothly aside from my installation of skype. Whenever I load the application, I see it in the taskbar (Not the notification area, just task bar) but there is no window for it. Clicking on its entry in the task bar does nothing, right-mouse clicking only gives me the option to quit. I have tried installing via the .deb package from the website and also through the skype.com repository, same result both time. Interestingly, I had the same issue about a week ago when installing it on a Mint 15 Cinnamon install inside a VM on my Windows installation.

I'll admit, I'm quite stumped. I usually consider a forum post the last resort, but after searching on the forums and on google... I've surrendered ... Help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Bill
