View Full Version : [gnome] When suspended, the screen won't turn back on

I've installed Ubuntu Gnome and updated Gnome to 3.8. Using Tweak Tool, I set the power button to suspend the laptop when pressed because setting closing the lid to suspend didn't actually do anything.

When I press the power button, everything shuts down and the power indicator blinks. That's fine.

When I turn it on, the hard drive spins, the lights on the laptop come on, and it's obvious things are happening, but the screen doesn't turn on. The only solution I found was to turn it off and on again.

I changed everything in the Tweak Tool to where nothing suspended except when the power button was pressed in case there was a conflict or something. That didn't help.

So I'm completely at a loss here on what to do. How can I get it to where it properly suspends.

Thanks,
