ubuntu 13.04 will not install

Hello all,

I am trying to install ubuntu 13.04 on my HP G61 notebook pc 64-bit running Windows 7.

I have made a boot-able usb stick to install 13.04 and all works fine until 'Step 4 Allocate drive space' form http://www.ubuntu.com/download/desktop/install-desktop-latest.

I am trying to install Ubuntu alongside Windows. Once I select and continue, after a black screen with 2 lines of writing at the top, the screen goes black for a second and then just restart to run Windows like normal - lame.

What can I do?

I have also noticed that in 'Step 4 Allocate drive space' the option to run duel OS it gives me the option to run Ubuntu 'inside' windows as opposed to alongside windows!
