I have two PCs: one with Windows 7 and one on which I intend to try out various Linux distros. That machine has a faulty DVD drive and it doesn't support usb boot so there's only one option left: network boot.

I want the Windows 7 machine to be a server for the network boot. I want the other machine to be able to install Ubuntu, Ubuntu derivatives and hopefully any other OS there is from the Windows 7 machine using network boot.

Both PCs are connected to a router via cable.

I tried to find some instructions how to do that but I couldn't find what I need. All I got was tutorials on how to install Windows systems via network or how to setup a pxe server on Linux systems. I need to do the opposite. I need to setup pxe server on windows and install Linux with it.

Can it be done at all?
If yes, I would be grateful if someone could give me a simple step-by-step tutorial. I'm not exactly a pro.
