If thats the case, it will be time to build a custom search engine and send out the spiders :D

Don't know what was going on but it seems up now. EDIT: the site is up but I don't get any search results.

Seems to be up and operational, my search results only included ubuntuforums and launchpad. Seemingly not picking up Askubuntu (??)

Ask Ubuntu isn't (and wasn't even previously) listed as one of the "Resources":

Looking through the following resources:
ubuntu.com kubuntu.com edubuntu.org launchpad.net
ubuntuforums.org kubuntuforums.net ubuntuguide.org getdeb.net
google groups «ubuntulinux» and «kubuntu»
ubuntu-es.org kubuntu-es.org planetubuntu.es ubuntips.com.ar
guia-ubuntu.org cesarius.net tuxpepino.wordpress.com lubuntu.net
ubuntulife.wordpress.com 4 google groups on spanish

@ vasa1; Thanks for that advisement !
Seems I had missed having access to that resource in the past ... rather inconvenient that such a great resource is not available, huh (?).

+1 to what Vasa1 said about Askubuntu not being included ever.

You can use these search engines for Askubuntu:

Askubuntu search (http://askubuntu.com/search)

Ask Oli (http://askoli.quickmediasolutions.com/)

Now where is that Crunchbang one. I used to have it.

Here it is. Not the same as the old one though.

Crunchbang Search (http://crunchbang.org/start)

never seen the site before; how is it a value-add over the original?

The original?

It is using Google for search but it narrows the search down to a selection of Ubuntu related sites.
