Hey everyone I am trying to get my conky set up to display the BBC News world headlines but can't find the correct link for my script to parse. Does anyone know what it is? I am needing the "http://rss.ect" address. I tried the BBC's website but it just redirects to a feed subscriber.

The BBC seems to have dozens of RSS feeds. This is probably a good place to start: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/10628494
I don't know what an "rss.ect" file is. I've never come across one. For an RSS feed, you're looking for a URL that ends in XML, almost always "....rss.xml".
Don't click on the link. Just copy it (usually "Copy Link Location" shows up with a right click) and paste it where you need it.
Sites sometimes have a feed and don't advertise it. View the source, in that case, and scan for the RSS URL.

that is a world wide web address not a really simple syndication address. Conky will not parse that as rss.

Yes, and if you visit and read the page you will see why I posted the link.
