Ubuntu, that is. 13-04 on a MacBook Pro Retina, to be exact.
Just got the wireless working and a usable screen resolution (though it's a little bit fuzzy around the edges of letters).
Early days! It seems I've forgotten a lot :(

Anyway just saying hello :D

I've got much re-adjustment to do too! I've forgotten so much it's shocking.

Is yours a retina? Maybe something could smooth out the edges of things when not using the default 2880x1800 resolution. I'm currently down to 1920x1200 and things are now the right size but a little bit fuzzy. I'll work something out though :-)

Nope, it's an older MBP. And I've not installed ubuntu on it, it does not belong to me even though I'm the only one and will be the only one using it :)
I've got a 29" iMac on my desk too. This one is cool :)

Yeah, 2 different apps opened side by side and twice as big as on the MBP. I kept my 4 desktops habits though :)

Eheh, I'm used to assign specific apps to specific desktops. Just handy, at least for me.

Try to adjust the font hinting settings. Since I'm on the MATE desktop I couldn't begin to tell you where those settings are, but it's within a screen that lets you adjust fonts for your theme. I know I've seen it. Higher hinting will give you sharper (but slightly thinner) fonts.

Thanks r_avital I can try that. From reading a little though it seems others have been unable to eradicate this with settings. It may be a scaling thing.
