I recently upgraded to Ubuntu 13.04. I set my display to hide the launcher and enable workspaces. When I open Firefox in a workspace, then move to another workspace, when I click on Firefox in the Launcher, another instance of Firefox opens in the current workspace. In my previous version, the launcher would switch to the workspace with the currently open instance of Firefox. Also, in the Launcher, the little pointer to the left of the Firefox icon is not there. The pointer is there for other open applications.
My other applications continue to work as they did before: Launcher switches workspaces to show me the open application, rather than opening another instance. I am using "Firefox 23.0 Mozilla Firefox for Ubuntu canonical - 1.0"
Somehow, the Launcher does not recognize there is an open instance of Firefox. Can this be fixed?
