Hi there,

Im bit of a Ubuntu beginner so please bear with me here.

I have Ubuntu 13.04 on my pc with Win 7 dual boot. Yesterday I put in a new PCIe wireless adaptor. Afterwards, I powered up my PC and the HDD didnt start. Nothing. I took the HDD out and put it into another PC and it started. I got to the screen where you choose Ubuntu, Windows etc. Ubuntu wouldnt load, just got a blank screen. I restarted and tried windows. This worked and I downloaded LinuxReader and was able to access the files on the Ubuntu partition.

Does anyone have any ideas what the problem might be? Ive checked that everything is connected on my motherboard, The HDD seems to still work but not on my first PC.

Really appreciate your help.

Cheers

Some hardware specs might be useful. Don't forget to list your PSU specs and make and model of new WiFi adapter. Have you tried to methodically go through BIOS/firmware settings to ensure PCIe configuration and nothing else obviously inappropriately set according to hardware attached?
