Compaq presario cq42-359TU Freeze using single Ubuntu OS

Hello guys, as i said in advance that ive got freeze in occasional times when i operate my ubuntu,i ran Ubuntu 12.04.2 LTS either it was single/dual boot. Is there any issues regarding to my laptop? thats why i should to force shut down on my laptop by holding the power down.
Thanks guys, i hope with this short question my laptop will be cured, and of course for those who in the same issues could got the answer.

have u tried licid linx 10.04 LTS? i'got no issues regarding my topic about. u should try that.
