Hey guys I bought a little Dell Latitude D620 and I put ubuntu 13.04 on its got 2 gigs ram 120 hd and runs great but when I go to shut down it does that terminal then like normal and then thats it I have to press power to shut it off any suggest I downloaded from software center G Smart control and do a test on hard drive

If you haven't already, you should install updates. There was an issue related to this, but it has been fixed for a long time.

General tip: please punctuate your sentences. This question was really hard to read and interpret.

I do updates on everything I do but for some reason it won't shut down have to use power button but I put Joli OS on and works great go figure that I'm going to try Ubuntu again later and I'll keep you posted I even tested the drive and it's okay
