My nominations would be both oldfred (http://ubuntuforums.org/member.php?u=852711) and chili555 (http://ubuntuforums.org/member.php?u=35909)

The assistance that these two gentlemen give to those members in need is simply outstanding.

If they each wrote a book, they would deserve them to be best sellers.

Are there others that you think deserve an award?

Cheers - :P

Chili555 is familiar to me as regards assistance. I had a wireless problem when I started out with Lubuntu and a post of his really helped me out. Awards? I dunno, maybe just thank them? Which you've done.

If there was an award it would have to go to the community, the one deciding factor that makes Ubuntu so awesome (and off course the people mentioned are part of this).

You guys all rock! <3

Indeed. Community award is really the only way to go about this one. Save paper, too many all-around awesome people that hang around :)

If one person does one thing to help one other person then they deserve thanks.

For anything else people can apply for membership.

Listing people that some might think deserve something could just become divisive.

Having thought this over, of course Elfy I conclude you are right.

The number of "friends" that both oldfred and chili555 have I am sure is enough of an "award" for them.

Thank you for helping me see this more clearly.

The number of "friends" that [someone has] is enough of an "award" for them.
Well put.
