Quoting from here (http://free.thelinuxstore.ca/):

This project was started after the newly defined mission of TheLinuxStore.ca was created. Part of the mission is "To help spread Linux and open source software around the world". This project is one way we are going to fulfill this mission. There are many places around the world that are still on dialup or have restictive download limits which makes downloading Linux time comsuming or expensive. We hope this project will help these people and many others obtain Linux.

Yes, now it's true. You can ship distros like SUSE Linux (http://www.opensuse.org/), Debian (http://www.debian.org/), Fedora Core ("http://fedora.redhat.com/), Gentoo ("http://www.gentoo.org/), Knoppix ("http://www.knoppix.com/) and others free like on shipit.ubuntu.com!

Isn't open source just GREAT?!

Cheers,
A.

I know... It's just so awesome! I've ordered openSUSE 10.1.
This Free Linux project was just born... On July 13th. In future, you will be able to manage the quantity of CDs/DVDs.
They definately need some financial support. This is an unique project on the whole world-wide-web, I assure you.

Excellent because I firmly believe that more than each distro pushing their product, the Linux community needs to push Linux. This seems like a great step potentially.

Yea, instead of hogging the CDs though, I hope you guys are passing them out to buddies or people without high speed.

Do the Cds come in a jewel case of sleeve, also do they come with any documentation? If they come with documentation, i think i'll give a few to my mom, one day i'll get that woman to use Linux...
