Fujitsu Siemens Scaleo P compatible with Ubuntu?

I have decided to install Ubuntu on my 8 year old Fujitsu Siemens Scaleo P desktop. The PC has life left in it but with XP support ending in 9 months time i need an alternative. Are there any known problems or issues operating Ubuntu on the Scaleo P?

Possible issues: too little RAM, too litte CPU for Ubuntu.
So: what's in it?
Maybe you should go for Lubuntu, as it requires less RAM/CPU.

3gig processor. I upgraded the RAM to 2.5gig.
